Night Guard Vital Bleaching - What is that?

Bleaching can be undertaken using 10% carbamide peroxide held in a mouthguard and worn usually overnight. This is repeated for as along as is necessary, usually about three weeks. Some discolourations are more difficult to bleach than others and will take a longer time.

Please note that existing crowns, bridges, veneers and white fillings will not lighten with bleaching. The contrast between the fillings and the lightened natural teeth could become obvious and these might have to be replaced.

Bleaching usually lasts for up to three years and can be topped up quite quickly.
